Removal





PARKING BRAKE: ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING Removal

5. REMOVE SWITCH BASE HOLE COVER





(a) Detach the claw and remove the cover from the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

6. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector.





(b) Remove the 3 screws and bracket from the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad.

(c) Remove the electric parking brake switch from the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad.
