INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SLIDING ROOF)

(a) Select the Active Test, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the sliding roof slides open/closed and tilts up/down Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK:

The sliding roof operates normally.

NG -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (HALL IC)

(a) Use the Data List to check if the hall ICs are functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

OK:

Tester displays other than LOCK.

OK -- Continue to next step.

3. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH)

(a) Use the Data List to check if the sliding roof switch is functioning properly Scan Tool Testing and Procedures.

When the switch is operating, the Techstream should display as shown in the table.

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

4. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (SLIDING ROOF SWITCH)





(a) Remove the map light assembly.

* for Standard Body Removal.

* for Long Body Removal.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

B -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

C -- REPLACE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY Removal

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SLIDING ROOF ECU - SLIDING ROOF SWITCH)





(a) Disconnect the X5 ECU connector.

(b) Disconnect the X4 and X6 switch connectors.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
