Removal





INTERIOR: ROOF HEADLINING (for Long Body): REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

NOTICE:
* w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal:





* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the front seat assembly Removal.

4. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Fixed Type)

(a) Remove the rear seat assembly Removal.

5. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat)

(a) Remove the rear seat assembly Removal.

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)

(a) Remove the rear seat assembly Removal.

7. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (for 5-Passenger with Ottoman)

(a) Remove the rear seat assembly Removal.

8. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH





(a) Put protective tape around the front door scuff plate.

(b) Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 clips.





(c) Detach the 7 claws and remove the front door scuff plate.

9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

10. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD LH





(a) Detach the 3 claws and remove the cowl side trim board.

11. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM BOARD RH

HINT
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

12. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH





(a) Detach the 2 clips.

(b) Cut off clip A.

(c) Detach the claw and remove the front pillar garnish LH.

(d) Remove clip A from the vehicle body.





(e) Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.

(1) Completely cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and secure the ends of the cover with adhesive tape, as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

13. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

14. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH





(a) Put protective tape around the rear door scuff plate.

(b) Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 clips.





(c) Detach the 7 claws and remove the rear door scuff plate.

15. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

16. REMOVE CENTER LOWER PILLAR GARNISH LH





(a) Detach the 2 claws and 6 clips, and remove the center lower pillar garnish.

17. REMOVE CENTER LOWER PILLAR GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

18. REMOVE CENTER UPPER PILLAR GARNISH LH





(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the claw.

(c) Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center upper pillar garnish, and remove the center upper pillar garnish.

19. REMOVE CENTER UPPER PILLAR GARNISH RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

20. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR COVER LH





(a) Detach the 6 claws of the cover, and slide the cover in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

22. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH LH





(a) Detach the 6 claws and remove the rear seat side garnish.

23. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE GARNISH RH

HINT
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

24. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH LH





(a) Pull the garnish away from the body and detach the 4 clips (do not detach clip A).

(b) Detach the 2 claws of the guide, and pull the inner roof side garnish in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

HINT
Clip A remains attached to the body.

(c) Remove clip A from the vehicle body.

25. REMOVE INNER ROOF SIDE GARNISH RH

HINT
Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

26. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the 2 covers.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the 2 screws.

(c) Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 clips.

(d) Disconnect the 2 connectors and then remove the map light.





27. REMOVE SPOT LIGHT LENS (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)





(a) Detach the 4 claws and remove the spot light lens.

28. REMOVE ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System)





(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the 6 clips and 2 claws.

(c) w/o Infrared Rays Sensor:

Disconnect the connector and then remove the roof console box.

(d) w/ Infrared Rays Sensor:

Disconnect the 2 connectors and then remove the roof console box.

29. REMOVE SPOT LIGHT ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System)





(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws.

(b) Disconnect the connector and then remove the spot light.

30. REMOVE REAR VANITY LIGHT ASSEMBLY

HINT
Use the same procedure to remove the vanity light on the other side.

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the lens.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the 2 screws.

(c) Using a moulding remover, detach the claw.

(d) Disconnect the connector and then remove the vanity light.





31. REMOVE COAT HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler)





HINT
Use the same procedure to remove the hook on the other side.

(a) Remove the screw and coat hook.

32. REMOVE ROOF SIDE REGISTER BEZEL LH (w/ Rear Cooler)





(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the roof side register.

33. REMOVE ROOF SIDE REGISTER BEZEL RH (w/ Rear Cooler)

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

34. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY





HINT
Use the same procedure for all the assist grips.

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 assist grip covers.

HINT
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Detach the 2 clips and remove the assist grip.

35. REMOVE VISOR BRACKET COVER





HINT
Use the same procedure to remove the cover on the other side.

(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the visor bracket cover.

36. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY LH





(a) Remove the 2 screws and visor.

37. REMOVE VISOR ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

38. REMOVE VISOR HOLDER

HINT
Use the same procedure to remove the holder on the other side.

(a) Turn the visor holder approximately 45° and pull it out as shown in the illustration.

(b) Detach the 2 claws and remove the visor holder.





39. REMOVE RAIN SENSOR COVER

(a) w/o Lane Keeping Assist System:

Remove the rain sensor cover Removal.

(b) w/ Lane Keeping Assist System:

Remove the rain sensor cover Removal.

40. REMOVE INNER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY

(a) w/o Automatic High Beam System:

Remove the rain sensor cover Removal.

(b) w/ Automatic High Beam System:

Remove the rain sensor cover Removal.

41. REMOVE OBJECT RECOGNITION CAMERA (w/ Lane Keeping Assist System) Removal

42. REMOVE WINDSHIELD GLASS

(a) Remove the windshield glass Removal.

43. REMOVE ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the roof wire connectors and detach each clamp from the front pillar.





(b) Disconnect the drive gear connector.





(c) w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System:

Detach the hook, 12 claws, 10 fasteners and 4 clips.





(d) w/ Rear Seat Entertainment System:

Detach the hook, 12 claws, 8 fasteners and 4 clips.





(e) Remove the roof headlining through the front of the vehicle.

NOTICE:
Be careful not to damage the roof headlining when taking it out.

44. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

45. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

46. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

(a) Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

47. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

(a) Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.
