Installation





CLUTCH: CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the clutch master cylinder assembly with the 2 bolts.





Torque : 12 Nm (120 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

(b) Connect the clutch reservoir tube.

2. INSTALL CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS PIN

(a) Apply MP grease to the contact surfaces of the pin and a clevis bushing.

(b) Connect the clevis to the clutch pedal with the pin.

HINT
Install the pin from the left side of the vehicle.

(c) Install a new clip to the pin.

3. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the clutch pedal switch assembly with the nut.

Torque : 16 Nm (160 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)

4. INSTALL CLUTCH PEDAL SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. CONNECT CLUTCH LINE

(a) Using a union nut wrench (10 mm), connect the clutch line.





Torque : 15 Nm (153 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
Use the formula to calculate special torque values for situations where the union nut wrench is combined with a torque wrench Service Precautions.

6. CONNECT CLUTCH RESERVOIR TUBE Installation

7. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS

(a) Connect the 3 connectors and clamp.





8. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Service and Repair

9. BLEED CLUTCH LINE Procedures

10. INSPECT FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Testing and Inspection

11. INSPECT FOR FLUID LEAK

HINT
Check for leaks from the clutch system.

12. INSPECT AND ADJUST CLUTCH PEDAL HEIGHT

13. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

Installation

14. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

15. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
