PARKING BRAKE: PARKING BRAKE CABLE: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE LEVER (for Manual Transmission)

Removal

2. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE PEDAL (for Automatic Transmission)

Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Pull up the parking brake claw.

(b) Remove the lock nut and No. 1 wire adjusting nut of the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake.

(c) Remove the clip and No. 1 parking brake cable assembly from the parking brake.

4. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

5. SEPARATE REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY Disassembly

6. REMOVE REAR DISC Disassembly

7. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN SPRING Disassembly

8. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE RETURN SPRING Disassembly

9. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE ADJUSTING SCREW SET Disassembly

10. REMOVE NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY Disassembly

11. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE SHOE ASSEMBLY Disassembly

12. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE SHOE LEVER Disassembly

13. REMOVE NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and disengage the 2 clamps and No. 2 parking brake cable assembly LH.

(b) Separate the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly LH from the parking brake equalizer.

(d) Remove the 2 cable support brackets from the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly.
