DESCRIPTION

When the driving support ECU receives a hybrid control system or engine control system malfunctioning signal from the power management control ECU via the CAN communication system, DTC C1A40 is stored.

When DTC C1A40 is stored, hybrid control system or engine control system DTCs will also be stored.





INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Check DTCs for the hybrid control system Hybrid Control System.

OK:

Hybrid control system DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Check DTCs for the engine control system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

OK:

Engine control system DTC is not output.

NG -- GO TO ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM How to Proceed With Troubleshooting
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. REPLACE POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU

(a) Replace the power management control ECU Removal.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes.

(b) Clear the DTCs Pre-Collision System.

(c) Check for DTCs.

OK:

DTC C1A40 is not output.

NG -- REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU Removal

OK -- END
