57. INSTALL ROOF SIDE INNER GARNISH RH Installation

58. INSTALL REAR SIDE RAIL SPACER LH

(a) Engage the 3 claws to install the rear side rail spacer LH.

(a) Engage the 3 claws to install the rear side rail spacer RH.

(a) Temporarily install the No. 2 package tray trim hinge with the 2 bolts.





HINT
Install the No. 2 package tray trim hinge so that it can be moved up and down.

69. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN NO. 1 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM HINGE

70. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUPPORT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) Removal

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

72. SET METAL TOP ROOF

(a) Stow the roof in the luggage compartment.





NOTICE:
* Perform this operation using 2 persons.
* Synchronize the movement of the left and right sides of the roof when moving it.

73. SET LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Set the luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH to the stowed position manually and then move it to the initial position by operating the closer using the Active Test Scan Tool Testing and Procedures





74. SET LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

75. REMOVE BACK DOOR STOPPER CUSHION LH Removal

79. INSTALL SST

(a) Assemble SST as shown in the illustration.

HINT
* This illustration shows the SST assembly procedure for SST used to adjust the luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH and No. 2 package tray trim hinge.
* A and C each have a guide to prevent incorrect assembly. Fit each guide into the guide hole on the SST body.
* When assembling SST for the RH side, install the guide pins on the opposite side.

(b) Snugly fit each shaft of SST into specified positions in the order of A -> D (body) -> C -> B (luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH).

HINT
* If D does not fit snugly, neither B nor C will fit properly.
* Fit B into the hole shown in the illustration.
* Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
(a) If D does not fit snugly into the hole in the body:
(1) Loosen the nut that secures D to SST.
(2) Make sure that A and D fit snugly into their holes in the body.
(3) Check that C fits snugly into the luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH and then tighten the nut for D.

HINT
The hinge should be able to move forward/rearward and left/right when performing this step. If the hinge cannot move, loosen its bolts slightly.

(c) Move SST back and forth and side to side to check that there is no looseness.

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

(d) Temporarily tighten the luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

(e) Adjust the No. 2 package tray trim hinge.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

(1) Check the clearance between the cushion of the No. 2 package tray trim hinge and the No. 2 roof panel strength sub-assembly.





Standard Clearance:

0 mm (0 in.)

(2) Check the clearance between the No. 2 package tray trim hinge and E.





Standard Clearance:

0 mm (0 in.)

HINT
Do not move the clearance between the cushion of the No. 2 package tray trim hinge and the No. 2 roof panel strength sub-assembly.

(3) Temporarily tighten the No. 2 package tray trim hinge.

(f) Remove the SST.

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

80. FULLY TIGHTEN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Fully tighten the luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH with the 2 bolts (B) and 4 nuts (A).





(A) - Torque : 22 Nm (224 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf

(B) - Torque : 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf

81. FULLY TIGHTEN LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Fully tighten the luggage compartment door hinge assembly RH with the 2 bolts (B) and 4 nuts (A).





(A) - Torque : 22 Nm (224 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf

(B) - Torque : 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf

82. SET LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Pull the emergency cable at the luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH to release the closer lock.





(b) Move the luggage compartment door hinge assembly LH to the position shown in the illustration by pulling on the luggage compartment door mounting part of the hinge.





NOTICE:
* A large amount of force is required to make the luggage link start moving down.
* Do not pull on the No. 2 package tray trim hinges because they have already been adjusted. Pulling on them will make them go out of adjustment.

83. SET LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE ASSEMBLY RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

84. FULLY TIGHTEN NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM HINGE

(a) Fully tighten the No. 2 package tray trim hinge with the 2 bolts





Torque : 11 Nm (112 kgf-cm, 8 ft-lbf)

85. FULLY TIGHTEN NO. 1 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM HINGE

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

90. SET METAL TOP ROOF

(a) Manually move the roof to the position shown in the illustration.





NOTICE:
* Perform this operation using 2 persons.
* Synchronize the movement of the left and right sides of the roof when moving it.

91. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a T40 "TORX" socket wrench, install the luggage compartment door panel sub-assembly with the 4 bolts.





Torque : 22 Nm (224 kgf-cm, 16 ft-lbf)

92. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE

(a) Engage the 3 claws and 4 clamps.





(b) Install the No. 1 luggage room wire with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

(c) Connect the connector.

93. INSTALL NO. 2 SIDE TRIM BRACKET

(a) Engage the guide.





(b) Install the quarter trim bracket LH with the bolt.

(c) Engage the clamp.

(d) Connect the connector.

(a) Engage the claw and fastener to install the luggage compartment trim cover inner LH.





(b) Install the 2 screws.

(a) Engage the 2 clips to install the luggage compartment trim cover LH.





98. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH SIDE PLATE LH

(a) Install the drain hose.





(b) Engage the 3 claws to install the rear floor finish side plate LH.

99. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH

(a) Engage the 2 clips and 2 claws to install the luggage compartment trim cover LH.





(b) Engage the 3 clips.

100. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for Front LH)

(a) Install the rope hook assembly with the bolt.





(b) Engage the 2 claws.

101. INSTALL ROPE HOOK (for LH Side)

(a) Engage the claw to install the rope hook.





102. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR SIDE CUSHION RH (for LH Side)

(a) Engage the claw to install a new luggage compartment door side cushion RH.





103. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM SIDE COVER LH

(a) Connect the connector.

(b) Install the package tray trim side cover LH with the screw.





(c) Install the 2 bolts.

104. INSTALL TONNEAU COVER STOPPER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Engage the 3 claws to install the tonneau cover stopper sub-assembly LH.





105. INSTALL NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR CUSHION (for LH Side)

(a) Install the snap ring and the No. 2 luggage compartment door cushion.





106. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

107. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH SIDE PLATE RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

108. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH

(a) Engage the 2 clips and 2 claws to install the luggage compartment trim cover RH.





(b) Engage the 3 clips.

109. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY (for Front RH)

(a) Install the rope hook assembly with the bolt.





(b) Engage the 2 claws.

110. INSTALL ROPE HOOK (for RH Side)

(a) Engage the claw to install the rope hook.





111. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR SIDE CUSHION RH

112. INSTALL PACKAGE TRAY TRIM SIDE COVER RH

(a) Connect the 2 connectors.

(b) Install the package tray trim side cover RH with the screw.





(c) Install the 2 bolts.
