WINDOW / GLASS: QUARTER WINDOW GLASS: REMOVAL

1. OPEN METAL TOP ROOF Removal

2. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal Service Precautions.

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

4. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH LH Removal

5. REMOVE PACKAGE TRAY TRIM GARNISH RH Removal

6. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH Removal

7. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH Removal

8. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY WITH REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE LAP BELT OUTER ANCHOR COVER Removal

11. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH Removal

13. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY RH (for RH Side) Removal

15. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR UPPER END WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 6 clips and remove the center pillar end weatherstrip.

16. REMOVE BACK DOOR STOPPER CUSHION LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the back door stopper cushion LH.

17. REMOVE BACK DOOR STOPPER CUSHION RH

HINT
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

18. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Using a clip remover, disengage the 4 clips.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal

20. REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Removal

21. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM BRACKET LH

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and quarter trim bracket LH.

22. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM BRACKET RH (for RH Side)

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and quarter trim bracket RH.

23. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW GLASS FEMALE STABILIZER

(a) Remove the bolt and quarter window glass female stabilizer.

24. REMOVE QUARTER SERVICE HOLE COVER

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Disengage the clamp and grommet.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 nuts, and quarter service hole cover.

25. MANUALLY CLOSE QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the positive (+) lead of a battery to terminal 1, and the negative (-) lead to terminal 2 of the power window regulator motor assembly to move the lift arm to the position shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the quarter window glass.

26. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW WITH REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Loosen the 2 bolts and remove the quarter window shims.

(b) Remove the 4 nuts and 2 bolts, and quarter window with regulator assembly.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the quarter window glass.

27. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW ASSEMBLY

(a) When reusing the quarter window or quarter window regulator:

(1) Place matchmarks on the regulator to indicate the position of the nuts.

(b) Remove the 3 nuts and quarter window assembly.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the quarter window glass.

28. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW STOP

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 quarter window stops.

29. REMOVE QUARTER WINDOW FRONT WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Using a knife, cut off the quarter window front weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

30. CLEAN QUARTER WINDOW GLASS

(a) When reusing the quarter window:

(1) Using a scraper, remove the adhesive sticking to the quarter window glass.

NOTICE:
Do not damage the vehicle quarter window or quarter windshield front weatherstrip retainer with the knife.

(2) Clean the outer circumference of the quarter window glass with a non-residue solvent.
