Removal

1UR-FSE COOLING: RADIATOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL Removal

2. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Removal

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Removal

4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET Removal

6. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER

9. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

10. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY Removal

11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER Removal

12. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT OPENING COVER

(a) Remove the 6 clips and radiator support opening cover.

13. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal

14. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER

(a) Remove the 3 screws, claw and the hood lock control cable cover.

15. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect 2 reserve tank hoses, then remove the 2 bolts and radiator reserve tank assembly.

17. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU OUTLET DUCT

(a) Remove the engine room ECU outlet duct from the engine room ECU box.

18. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the smog ventilation sensor connector.

(b) Disconnect the 2 horn connectors.

(d) Separate the 2 clamps and the wire harness from the upper radiator support.

(e) Separate the 3 clamps and the wire harness from the fan shroud.

(f) Disconnect the 2 cooling fan motor connectors.

(g) Remove the 5 bolts and upper radiator support.

19. DISCONNECT OIL COOLER HOSE

(a) Disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses from the oil cooler pipe.

20. DISCONNECT NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

21. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Disconnect the No. 2 radiator hose from the radiator assembly.

22. REMOVE RADIATOR AND FAN ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts, and separate the cooler condenser assembly from the radiator assembly.

(b) Remove the radiator assembly from the vehicle together with the fan assembly.

NOTICE:
Make sure that the cooler condenser assembly and radiator assembly do not come into contact with each other.

23. REMOVE RADIATOR SUPPORT CUSHION

(a) Remove the 2 radiator support cushions.

24. REMOVE LOWER RADIATOR SUPPORT

(a) Remove the 2 lower radiator supports.

25. REMOVE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 oil cooler hoses from the radiator assembly.

(b) Remove the 2 bolts and oil cooler pipe.

(c) Remove the 2 bolts.

(d) Release the snap fit and lift the fan assembly with motor from the radiator assembly.
