Installation








SUSPENSION: REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.





1. INSTALL REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Temporarily install the upper control arm to the frame with the 2 bolts, 2 washers and 2 nuts.
(b) Temporarily install the upper control arm ball joint axle carrier with the nut.
HINT: After stabilizing the suspension, tighten the nuts.

(c) Connect the speed sensor to the axle carrier with the bolt.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)
2. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
(a) Install the wheel with the 5 nuts.
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
3. STABILIZE SUSPENSION Installation





4. TIGHTEN REAR UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Tighten the upper control arm with the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.
Torque: 88 Nm (900 kgf-cm, 65 ft-lbf)for front side labeled A
Torque: 74 Nm (755 kgf-cm, 55 ft-lbf)for rear side labeled B
(b) Tighten the ball joint nut.
Torque: 108 Nm (1,100 kgf-cm, 80 ft-lbf)
5. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
(a) Inspect and adjust the rear wheel alignment Rear Wheel Alignment.
6. INSTALL WHEEL HUB ORNAMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the ornament with the 10 bolts.
Torque: 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)
7. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
(a) Check speed sensor signal Diagnosis System.
