SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: REAR AIRBAG SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL
CAUTION:
Be sure to read the precautionary notices concerning the SRS airbag system before servicing Service Precautions.
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY Removal
3. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE COVER Removal
4. REMOVE WIND DEFLECTOR BOARD ASSEMBLY Removal
5. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST PLATE Removal
6. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY Removal
7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY Removal
8. REMOVE DOOR SCUFF PLATE ASSEMBLY LH Removal
9. REMOVE FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH Removal
10. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR LH





(a) Remove the 3 nuts and sensor.
(b) Disconnect the sensor connector.
