AXLE: REAR AXLE HUB BOLT: REPLACEMENT

REPLACEMENT
HINT:
- Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
- The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
- A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Standard Bolt - Specified Torque For Standard Bolts.

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL





2. REMOVE REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the brake cylinder from the axle carrier.
(b) Support the brake caliper securely.
3. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DISC





4. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB BOLT LH
(a) Temporarily install 2 nuts to the hub bolts as shown in the illustration.
(b) Using SST and a screwdriver or equivalent to hold the axle shaft, remove the hub bolt.
SST: 09628-10011





5. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB BOLT LH
(a) Install a washer and nut to a new hub bolt, as shown in the illustration.
(b) Using a screwdriver or equivalent to hold the axle shaft, install the hub bolt by torquing the nut.
(c) Remove the 2 nuts temporarily installed above.
6. INSTALL REAR BRAKE DISC
7. CONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CYLINDER ASSEMBLY LH
(a) Connect the brake cylinder to the axle carrier with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 104 Nm (1,061 kgf-cm, 77 ft-lbf)
8. INSTALL REAR WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
9. INSPECT AND ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL
(a) Inspect and adjust the parking brake pedal travel Adjustments.
