DTC C2172/72 - Transmitter ID not Registered in 2nd Mode

DESCRIPTION

The IDs of each tire pressure warning valve and transmitter are registered in the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver. When the ECU detects that an ID is not one of the registered IDs, or cannot receive an ID signal, a DTC is output.






INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
- When replacing the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver, read the IDs stored in the old ECU using the Techstream and note them down before removal.
- It is necessary to perform initialization Initialization after registration Registration of the transmitter IDs into the tire pressure warning ECU and receiver after the ECU and/or valve and transmitter has been replaced.

PROCEDURE

1. CONFIRM REGISTRATION CONDITION (REGISTERED ID CODES)
(a) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
(b) Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
(c) Turn the ignition switch ON and the Techstream on.
(d) Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tire Pressure Monitor / Data List.
(e) Check the values by referring to the table below.

OK:
The registered transmitter ID codes are displayed on the Techstream.
NG -- PERFORM REGISTRATION
OK -- REPLACE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING ECU AND RECEIVER
2. PERFORM REGISTRATION
(a) Register the transmitter IDs for all the wheels Registration.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
3. PERFORM INITIALIZATION
(a) Perform initialization Initialization.
NEXT -- Continue to next step.
4. CONFIRM TIRE INFLATION PRESSURE (DATA LIST) C2121
