Removal








BRAKE CONTROL: FRONT SPEED SENSOR (for AWD): REMOVAL

REMOVAL
NOTE:
While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
HINT:
- The procedures listed below are for the RH side.
- Other than areas where instructions are provided, use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH Removal
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
4. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE





(a) Disconnect the front fender liner so that the skid control sensor wire connector can be disconnected.
(b) Disconnect the sensor connector.
(c) Detach the 2 sensor clips.





(d) Remove the 2 bolts and 2 sensor clamps.
(e) for LH side:




(1) Disconnect the connector.
(2) Remove the bolt and sensor clamp.
(f) for RH side:




(1) Disconnect the pad wear indicator connector.
(2) Disconnect the connector from the front speed sensor.
(3) Remove the bolt and sensor clamp.
5. REMOVE FRONT SPEED SENSOR RH





(a) Remove the bolt and sensor.
- The speed sensor is easily damaged.
When pulling out the speed sensor from the axle hub, do not use excessive force to rotate and remove it.
- Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.
- Do not drop the sensor. If the sensor has been dropped, replace the sensor with a new one.
