INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK MODE IN WHICH SCREEN DOES NOT APPEAR OR IS NOT STABILIZED
(a) Check the mode in which the screen does not appear or is not stabilized.

Result





C -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - BODY GROUND)
B -- CHECK NTSC/PAL SIGNAL (RSE IMAGE QUALITY ADJUSTMENT SCREEN)
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK DISC




(a) Check that the disc is not deformed or cracked.
OK:
No deformation or cracks on the disc.
NG -- CHANGE DISC
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. DISC CLEANING




(a) Disc cleaning
(1) If dirt is on the disc surface, wipe it clean with a soft cloth from the inside to the outside in a radial direction.
NOTE:
Do not use a conventional record cleaner or antistatic preservative.

NEXT -- GO TO DISPLAY SIGNAL CIRCUIT BETWEEN RADIO RECEIVER AND TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY Display Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Television Display Assembly
4. CHECK NTSC/PAL SIGNAL (RSE IMAGE QUALITY ADJUSTMENT SCREEN)




(a) During the VTR image, check if the changing of the NTSC/PAL signal is normal by pressing the remote controller's DISPLAY switch, entering the RSE image adjustment screen, and pressing the PAL VIDEO button.
OK:
Returned to normal after pressing image quality adjustment screen's PAL VIDEO button.
NG -- REPLACE EXTERNAL DEVICE WITH NORMAL ONE AND CHECK
OK -- NORMAL
5. REPLACE EXTERNAL DEVICE WITH NORMAL ONE AND CHECK
(a) Replace the external device with a normal one and check if the same problem occurs again.
OK:
Same problem does not occur.
NG -- GO TO DISPLAY SIGNAL CIRCUIT BETWEEN VIDEO TERMINAL AND TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY Display Signal Circuit Between Video Terminal and Television Display
OK -- END (EXTERNAL DEVICE IS DEFECTIVE)
6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY - BODY GROUND)




(a) Disconnect the R19 display connector.
(b) Measure the waveform according to the value(s) in the table below.
