AA80E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION: FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY





(a) Install the floor shift assembly with the 4 bolts.
NOTE:
Do not allow the wire harness to get caught between the parts.

Torque: 8.3 Nm (85 kgf-cm, 74 in-lbf)
(b) Connect the 6 clamps to the floor shift assembly.
(c) Connect the 2 connectors to the floor shift assembly.
2. INSTALL FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Turn the control shaft lever of the neutral start switch counterclockwise until it stops, and turn it clockwise 2 notches to set it to the N position.





(b) Move the shift lever to the N position and tighten the nut while lightly pushing the lever toward the R position.
Torque: 13 Nm (130 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)
NOTE:
Do not push the shift lever too hard.

3. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR Installation
4. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Installation
5. CONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) Installation
6. CONNECT HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 2) Installation
7. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER LH
8. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR COVER CENTER RH





(a) Install the front floor cover center RH with the 3 grommets.
Torque: 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf)
9. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR PANEL BRACE Installation
10. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR BRACE CENTER Installation
11. INSTALL NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX DUCT Installation
12. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY Installation
13. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY Installation
14. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX PLATE Installation
15. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH Installation
16. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH Installation
17. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL ASSEMBLY Installation
18. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH Installation
19. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB





(a) Install the shift lever knob and turn it in the direction indicated by the arrow.
20. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION AA80E Automatic Transmission
21. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
