DIFFERENTIAL: DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT CUSHION: REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE REAR TIRE
2. DRAIN REAR DIFFERENTIAL OIL Removal

3. REMOVE EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY
for 2GR-FSE: Removal
for 1UR-FSE: Removal
4. REMOVE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY
Removal
5. SEPARATE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING LH Removal

6. SEPARATE REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING RH
HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.

7. REMOVE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY LH

8. REMOVE REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.

9. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR NO.2 Removal

10. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR NO.1

Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.

11. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE LH Removal

12. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE RH

Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.

13. SEPARATE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.3 Removal

14. SEPARATE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.2
HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.

15. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

16. REMOVE REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.

17. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH






(a) Remove the 3 screws and side member cover LH.
18. REMOVE REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH
HINT:
Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.

19. DISCONNECT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR REAR LH






(a) Disconnect the height control sensor connector.
(b) Remove the clamp from the rear suspension member.
20. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE REAR LOWER LH






(a) Remove the 4 bolts and suspension member brace rear lower LH.
21. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE REAR LOWER RH
(a) Remove the 4 bolts and suspension member brace rear lower RH.
22. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER ASSEMBLY






(a) Support the rear suspension member with a jack.
HINT:
Remove the rear suspension member along with the differential carrier assembly rear.

(b) Remove the 8 bolts, 2 rear suspension member stoppers, 2 differential support member stoppers and rear suspension member stopper lowers from the rear suspension member.
(c) Lower the jack slowly and remove the rear suspension member with the differential carrier assembly rear.
23. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY Removal

24. REMOVE NO.1 REAR DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT CUSHION






(a) Using SST, remove the No.1 rear differential mount cushion.
SST: 09316-12010
SST: 09570-24011
NOTICE:

- Do not bring SST into contact with the sub-frame.
- Do not slant the bolts of SST.
- Set the SST in the correct direction.
- Screw the 2 bolts of SST equally into the 2 holes of the rear differential mount.


25. REMOVE NO.2 REAR DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT CUSHION






(a) Using SST, remove the No.2 rear differential mount cushion.
SST: 09316-12010
SST: 09570-24011
NOTICE:

- Do not bring SST into contact with the sub-frame.
- Do not slant the bolt of SST.
- Set the SST in the correct direction.


26. INSTALL NO.1 REAR DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT CUSHION






(a) Using SST, install the No.1 rear differential mount cushion.
SST: 09570-24011
NOTICE:

- Temporarily install the mount cushion to the member in order to prevent it from tilting and install the SST.
- Be sure to use the SST with the correct combination.
- Make sure that the SST contacts the entire circumference of the mount cushion.


27. INSTALL NO.2 REAR DIFFERENTIAL MOUNT CUSHION






(a) Using SST, install the No.2 rear differential mount cushion.
SST: 09570-24011
NOTICE:

- Temporarily install the mount cushion to the member in order to prevent it from tilting and install the SST.
- Be sure to use the SST with the correct combination.
- Make sure that the SST contacts the entire circumference of the mount cushion.


28. INSTALL REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY Installation

29. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER ASSEMBLY






(a) Support the rear suspension member along with the differential using a jack.
HINT:
Install the rear suspension member along with the rear differential carrier assembly.

(b) Install the 2 rear suspension member stoppers and 2 differential support member stoppers to the rear suspension member.
(c) Install the rear suspension member along with the rear suspension member stopper lower with the 8 bolts.
Torque: 127 Nm (1300 kgf-cm, 94 ft-lbf) (Bolt A)
Torque: 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf) (Bolt B)
30. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE REAR LOWER LH






(a) Install the suspension member brace rear lower LH with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)
31. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE REAR LOWER RH
(a) Install the suspension member brace rear lower RH with the 4 bolts.
Torque: 19 Nm (195 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf)
32. CONNECT HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR REAR LH






(a) Install the clamp to the rear suspension member.
(b) Connect the height control sensor connector.
33. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH






(a) Install the side member cover LH with the 3 screws.
34. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER RH
HINT:
Installation procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.

35. INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH Installation

36. INSTALL REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Installation procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side.

37. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.3 Installation

38. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY NO.2

39. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER BRACE LH Installation

43. TEMPORARILY TIGHTEN REAR SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING LH Installation

45. INSTALL REAR AXLE ASSEMBLY LH

49. INSTALL REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

Torque: 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

54. INSPECT PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL Adjustments

55. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL Adjustments

56. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

57. CHECK FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAKS
58. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
