Removal

2GR-FE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the No. 2 radiator assembly Removal.

2. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH

(a) Disconnect the 3 clips.





(b) Remove the 2 screws, 4 bolts and front floor cover LH.

3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 3 clamps and oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 2).





(b) Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts, 2 compression springs and No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.





(c) Remove the 3 gaskets from the No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

4. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY

(a) Remove the bolt, nut and manifold stay.





5. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 1).

(b) Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly RH.





6. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET

(a) Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket from the cylinder head sub-assembly.





7. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR (for Bank 1 Sensor 1) Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY

(a) Remove the bolt, nut and No. 2 manifold stay.





10. REMOVE NO. 2 OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE Removal

11. REMOVE NO. 2 EXHAUST MANIFOLD HEAT INSULATOR

(a) Disconnect the air fuel ratio sensor connector (for Bank 2 Sensor 1).





(b) Disconnect the sensor wire from the radiator pipe clamp.

(c) Remove the 3 bolts and No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator.





12. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 6 nuts and exhaust manifold sub-assembly LH.





13. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD TO HEAD GASKET LH

(a) Remove the exhaust manifold to head gasket LH from the cylinder head sub-assembly.





14. REMOVE AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR NO.2 (for Bank 2 Sensor 1) Removal
