Installation





BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR

(a) Install the spiral cable with steering angle sensor Installation.

NOTICE:
* Do not replace the spiral cable with the battery connected and the engine switch on (IG).
* Do not rotate the spiral cable with the battery connected and the engine switch on (IG).
* Ensure that the steering wheel is installed and aligned straight when inspecting the steering angle sensor.
* Do not remove the steering angle sensor from the spiral cable.

2. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER Installation

3. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER Installation

4. ALIGN FRONT WHEELS FACING STRAIGHT AHEAD

5. ADJUST SPIRAL CABLE Installation

6. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSPECT STEERING WHEEL CENTER POINT

8. INSTALL STEERING PAD Installation

9. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER Installation

10. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER Installation

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
* When reconnecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal after installing the steering sensor, check that the front tires and steering wheel are kept aligned straight ahead before and after connecting the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
* When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
