ROOF LATCH MOTOR

Diagnosis Procedure


1. CHECK ROOF LATCH MOTOR POWER SUPPLY

1.Turn ignition switch ON.
2.Perform "ROOF LATCH" in "WORK SUPPORT" mode of "RETRACTABLE HARD TOP" using CONSULT
(refer to "CONSULT Function" Scan Tool Testing and Procedures).
3.Check the voltage between roof latch assembly harness connector and ground under the following conditions.





Is the inspection result normal?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- Replace retractable hard top control unit. Refer to "Removal and Installation" Service and Repair.

2. CHECK ROOF LATCH MOTOR CIRCUIT

1.Turn ignition switch OFF.
2.Disconnect retractable hard top control unit connector and roof latch assembly connector.
3.Check the continuity between retractable hard top control unit harness connector and roof latch assembly harness connector.





4.Check harness for short to ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES- Replace roof latch motor. Refer to "ROOF LOCK ASSEMBLY : Removal and Installation" Removal and Installation.
NO- Repair or replace harness.
