ODS Unit Replacement




ODS Unit Replacement

Removal

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure Procedures, then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Remove the front passenger's seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

3. Remove the seat back panel.

- 4-door Front Seat-Back Cover Replacement (4-Door)
- 2-door Front Seat-Back Cover Replacement (2-Door)

4. Turn over the reinforcing cloth, then release the hooks.

5. Turn over the seat-back cover/pad (A) to gain access to the ODS unit, then disconnect the ODS unit 18P connector (B) and OPDS sensor connectors (C) from the ODS unit (D).





6. Remove the two nuts (E) and the ODS unit.

Installation

1. Place the ODS unit (A) on the seat-back frame. Tighten the two nuts (B), and connect the ODS unit 18P connector (C) and OPDS sensor connectors (D) to the ODS unit.





2. Install the seat-back cover/pad (E) in the reverse order of removal.

3. Install the hooks and reinforcing cloth..

4. Install the seat back panel.

5. Install the front passenger's seat Front Seat Removal/Installation.

6. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure Procedures.

7. Set the seat-back in the normal position, and make sure there is nothing on the front passenger's seat.

8. Clear any DTCs.

9. Do the ODS unit initialization Programming and Relearning.

10. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
