Front Bumper Reinforcement: Service and Repair
Front Bumper
Removal
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
1. WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

2. Remove the front bumper cover.
Refer to: Front Bumper Cover. Removal and Replacement
3. Position aside the LH lighting wire harness.
4. Disconnect and position aside the active shutter and lighting harnesses.
5. Remove the 4 bolts and the lower radiator support.
6. Remove the forward PCM case bolt.
7. Remove the bolt and position aside the horn assembly.

9. Position aside the horn wiring harness.

12. Remove the 2 lower radiator grille support bolts and adjusters.
13. NOTE: On both sides
Loosen but do not remove one of the upper bumper nuts on each side. Remove the remaining nuts.
14. NOTE: On both sides
Remove the forward fender bolts.
15. Loosen as far as possible but do not remove the upper radiator grille reinforcement bolts.
16. With the help of an assistant, remove the previously loosened bumper nuts and carefully remove the bumper assembly.
Installation
1. NOTE: On both sides
With the help of an assistant, position the front bumper on the vehicle, center the bumper plate on the mounting studs and install the retaining nuts.
Torque: 25 Nm
2. Install the grille reinforcement panel lower bolts and adjusters.
Torque: 23 Nm
3. Tighten the upper radiator grille reinforcement bolts.
Torque: 23 Nm
4. NOTE: On both sides
Install the forward fender bolts.
Torque: 6 Nm
5. Install the lower radiator support.
Torque: 25 Nm

7. Torque: 8 Nm

11. Install the forward PCM case bolt.
Torque: 6 Nm
12. Position aside the LH lighting wire harness.
13. Disconnect and position aside the active shutter and lighting harnesses.
14. Remove the front bumper cover.
