Diagnostic Overview

The Low Fuel Warning Chime Is Inoperative or Always Sounds

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

REFER to Low Fuel Warning Chime .

Pinpoint Test

1. CHECK THE SAFETY BELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION

1. Ignition OFF.

2. Ignition ON.

3. Monitor the safety belt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.

Does the safety belt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?







2. CHECK THE LOW FUEL INDICATOR

1. NOTE: The low fuel warning chime only sounds once when the low fuel indicator turns on.
Verify that the low fuel indicator is operating correctly.

Does the low fuel indicator operate correctly?
