8000 - 8999: 8018
8018 - RIGHT FRONT TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR/TRANSMITTER
When Monitored and Set Condition
- When Monitored: With the ignition ON, the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) module monitors the Tire Pressure Sensor/Transmitters approximately once a minute (60 - 68 seconds) when the vehicle speed is above 33 km/h (20 MPH).
- Set Condition: If the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) module cannot detect a signal from the Right Front Tire Pressure Sensor for a period of 30 minutes, this DTC will be set.

Diagnostic Test
1. READING TPM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES
NOTE: DTC 8018 will always be set in conjunction with DTC 8004.
NOTE: Under certain operating conditions (slow speed, stop-and-go driving, prolonged standing) the Tire Pressure Sensors can stop transmitting. This condition can be misdiagnosed as an inoperative Tire Pressure Sensor. Take care to fully diagnose any Sensor/Transmitter Failure code.
Turn the ignition ON.
With the scan tool, read and record the TPM DTCs.
With the scan tool, clear the TPM module DTCs.
Road test the vehicle.
Is the TPM Light on after the Road test?
Yes
- Go to 2
No
- The condition that caused this DTC to set is currently not present. Review the functionality for a possible intermittent condition.
- Perform the TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR VERIFICATION TEST. Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) Verification Test
2. CHECKING DTC RESET
Turn the ignition ON.
With the scan tool, read the TPM DTCs.
Did DTC 8018 - RIGHT FRONT TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR/TRANSMITTER reset?
