DR-1I Automatic Idle Speed Motor Operation

1. Connect diagnostic read-out tool to engine harness connector. Ensure read/hold switch is in read position.
2. Connect a tachometer to engine, then start engine.
3. Disconnect coolant sensor connector, then move read/hold switch to hold position.
4. If engine speed increases to approximately 1500 RPM, proceed to Test 1 step P. DR-1P Checking Computer Ground Circuits
5. If engine speed does not increase, proceed to Test 1 step J on Turbo I models and Test 1 step L on Turbo II models.
