Engine Mount Replacement - Right Side
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.
2. Remove the starter. Refer to Starter Replacement (Diesel) Service and RepairStarter Replacement (V8) Service and RepairStarter Replacement (V6) Service and Repair.
3. Remove the right side exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side (V6) Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right SideExhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side (Diesel) Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right SideExhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side (V8) Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side.
4. Remove the engine mount to the frame mounting bolts.
Caution:
When raising or supporting the engine for any reason, do not use a jack under the oil pan, any sheet metal, or crankshaft balancer. Jacking against the oil pan may cause it to crack or break.
Note:
Raise the engine only enough to permit removal of the engine mount.
5. Raise and suitably support the engine using adjustable (screw type) jackstands.
6. Remove the engine mount to the engine mounting bolts.
7. Remove the engine mount from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the engine mount to the vehicle.
Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
2. Install the engine mount to the engine mounting bolts and tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).
3. Lower the engine.
4. Install the engine mount to the frame mounting bolts and tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb ft).
5. Install the right side exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side (V6) Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right SideExhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side (Diesel) Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right SideExhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side (V8) Exhaust Manifold Replacement - Right Side.
6. Install the starter. Refer to Starter Replacement (Diesel) Service and RepairStarter Replacement (V8) Service and RepairStarter Replacement (V6) Service and Repair.
7. Lower the vehicle.
