Front Seat Back Frame Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
2. Remove the front seat inner adjuster finish cover. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer) (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer))Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Inner) (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Inner)) .
3. Remove the front seat outer adjuster finish cover. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer) (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer))Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Inner) (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Inner)) .
4. Remove the front seat head restraint and the guides. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement) .
5. Release the J-retainer (2) on the bottom of the seat back cushion cover (1) which secures the cover around the seat adjuster lateral rod (3).
6. Roll the seat back cushion cover (1) up and off the seat back cushion pad and frame.




7. Remove the 2 bolts (2) which secure each seat adjuster (3) to the seat back cushion frame (1).
8. Remove the seat back cushion pad and frame (1) from the front seat.



Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

1. Install the seat back cushion pad and frame (1) to the front seat. Secure the frame to each seat adjuster (3) with the 2 mounting bolts (2).

Tighten the front seat back cushion mounting bolts to 35 N.m (25 lb ft).





2. Roll the seat back cushion cover (1) onto the seat back cushion pad and frame.
3. Secure the J-retainer (2) on the bottom of the seat back cushion cover (1) around the seat adjuster lateral rod (3).
4. Install the front seat head restraint and the guides. Refer to Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Front Seat Head Restraint Replacement) .
5. Install the front seat outer adjuster finish cover. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer) (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer))Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Inner) (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Inner)) .
6. Install the front seat inner adjuster finish cover. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer) (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Outer))Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Inner) (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Inner)) .
7. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket (Front Seat Replacement - Bucket) .
