Radiator: Service and Repair


RADIATOR









REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Drain the coolant.
2. Disable the Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR). Service and Repair
3. Relocate the forwarding discriminating sensor out of the way.
4. Air cleaner assembly.
5. Cooling fans. Service and Repair
6. Upper and Lower radiator hoses from the radiator.
7. Engine oil cooler lines from the right radiator end tank.
8. Transaxle oil cooler lines from the left radiator end tank.
9. Left and the right engine torque struts.
10. Radiator top support screws (3-10mm screws).
11. Radiator from the vehicle. Lift the radiator up and out.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Radiator to the vehicle.
2. Install the upper radiator support screws.

TIGHTEN
^ Bolts to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).

3. Transaxle oil cooler lines to the radiator.

TIGHTEN
^ Transaxle oil cooler line fittings to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).

4. Engine oil cooler lines to the radiator.

TIGHTEN
^ Engine oil cooler lines to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).

5. Left and the right engine support torque struts.
6. Upper and lower radiator hoses to the radiator, securing hose clamps.
7. Cooling fans.
8. Air cleaner assembly.
9. Forward discriminating sensor.
10. Enable the SIR.
11. Refill the coolant.
