Front Wheel Drive Shaft Seal Replacement - Right Side

Special Tools

* DT-519 - Installer Drift

* DT-586 - Remover Hook

* DT-7004 - Slide Hammer

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the catalytic converter brace. Refer to Catalytic Converter Brace Replacement (2.4L LEA) Catalytic Converter Brace ReplacementCatalytic Converter Brace Replacement (2.0L LHU) Catalytic Converter Brace Replacement.

2. Remove the front wheel drive intermediate shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Replacement Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Replacement.




3. Remove the front wheel drive shaft oil seal (1) using DT-7004 - slide hammer (3) in conjunction with DT-586 - remover hook (2).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the NEW front wheel drive shaft oil seal (1) using DT-519 - installer drift (2) and a hammer.

Note: Coat seal lips with NEW transmission fluid.

2. Install the front wheel drive intermediate shaft. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Replacement Front Wheel Drive Intermediate Shaft Replacement.

3. Install the catalytic converter brace. Refer to Catalytic Converter Brace Replacement (2.4L LEA) Catalytic Converter Brace ReplacementCatalytic Converter Brace Replacement (2.0L LHU) Catalytic Converter Brace Replacement.
