Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove trim for rear lid lower section 51 49 090 Removing And Installing/Replacing Panel For Rear Lid Lower Section
Security vehicles:
- Remove rear lid lower section armor-plating 51 49 090 Removing And Installing/Replacing Rear Lid Lower Section Armor-Plating (Security)
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release screws (2) and feed out bracket (3).
Tightening torque 51 24 5AZ 51 24 Rear Lid Latch, Locks.
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 51 24 4AZ 51 24 Rear Lid Latch, Locks.
Unfasten cable tie (2).
Remove soft closure aid (3) from bracket (4).
Installation:
Adjust rear lid lock Adjusting Rear Lid Lock For Rear Lid Upper Section.
