Oil Pan, Mechatronic, and Transmission Oil Pump Assembly Overview

1 - Oil Pan
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Oil Pan ] Service and Repair
2 - Bolt
• Replace

3 - Gasket
• Replace
4 - Bolt

5 - Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic (J743)
• With O-rings on connector
• Replace O-rings
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Mechatronic ] 02E Transmission
6 - Breather Tube
• Pressed into transmission
• Replace after removal
7 - Breather Cap
• Inserted on ventilation tube
15 - Transmission Oil Pump
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Transmission Oil Pump ] Service and Repair
• Insert with new seal
16 - Bolt
• Replace
• Tightening sequence
• Qty. 4
• Different bolts depending on version
17 - Transmission Oil Pump Cover
• Replace
• With seal
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Transmission Oil Pump ] Service and Repair
18 - Bolt
• Replace
• Tightening sequence

Oil Pan Tightening Sequence
- Tighten bolts - arrows - in a diagonal sequence in stages.
• 16 Nm
Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic (J743) Tightening Sequence
- Tighten bolts as follows in 2 stages in - 1 to 10 - sequence:
Transmission Oil Pump Tightening Sequence
• Different bolt versions - A or B -, observe tightening procedure.
- Tighten bolts - arrows - in a diagonal sequence (different bolts depending on version):
Countersunk bolts - A -:
- Tighten countersunk bolts to 8 Nm.
Flat head bolts - B -:
- Tighten flat head bolts in 2 stages as follows:
Transmission Oil Pump Cover - A - Tightening Sequence
- Tighten bolts - arrows - in a diagonal sequence in stages.
• 8 Nm
Transmission Input Speed (RPM) Sensor (G182) and Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor (G509)
