Removing

- Remove the driver side storage tray.

- Disconnect brake pedal from brake booster. Refer to => [ Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating ] Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating.

- Remove nut - 5 -.






- Remove hex bolt - 9 - from brake pedal and bushing.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

- Slide hex bolt - 9 - through brake pedal and bushing.

- Use new nut - 5 - and tighten. Note torque: 25 Nm

• Lubricate mounting points with Polyurea grease (G 052 142 A2) before installing.

Clip brake pedal to brake booster push rod ball head.






- Hold ball head of push rod in front of mounting and push brake pedal in direction of brake booster, so the ball head locates audibly. Refer to => [ Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating ] Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating.

Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
