Seat Belt Motor: Service and Repair

Driver and Front Passenger Seat Belt Positioning Motors

• Removal and installation are same for right and left.

Removing






- Remove the front belt anchor. Refer to => [ Front Belt Anchor ] Front Belt Anchor.

- Pull the seat belt positioning arm - 1 - out of the seat belt positioning motor - arrow -.

- Thread the seat belt webbing - 2 - together with the seat belt latch out of the seat belt positioning arm.

- Remove side trim. Refer to => [ Side Trim ] Side Trim.

- Disconnect electrical harness connector - 5 -.






- Remove screws - 1, 3, 4 -.

- Remove the seat belt positioning motor - 2 - on the seat belt guide - arrow -.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Press the seat belt positioner when connecting threaded connection in the direction of the center of the vehicle.

- Tighten the screws in sequence - 3, 4 and 1 -.
