HID Headlamp Control Module (J343)/(J344)

Danger to life due to high voltage.

• Always disconnect the negative battery cable before working on High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamp components marked with yellow high voltage symbols.

Removing






- Remove the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp Housing ] Headlamp Housing.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.

- Remove control module - 1 - from the headlamp.

- Disconnect the adapter cable - 2 - and the electrical connector - 3 - from the HID headlamp control module - 1 -.






- Remove the HID headlamp control module.

Installing

• Tightening specification, refer to => [ Bi-Xenon Headlamps with Cornering Lamp Overview, through MY 2011 ] Bi-Xenon Headlamps With Cornering Lamp Overview, Through MY 2011.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

- Check the seal - 4 - between the HID control module and the headlamp for damage.

- Install the headlamp. Refer to => [ Headlamp Housing ] Headlamp Housing.
