Turbo Boost Sensor: Service and Repair






Charge Air Pressure Sensor (G31) and Charge Air Pressure Sensor 2 (G447)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Engine Bung Set (VAS 6122)

Removing






- Free up the vacuum hose - 1 - on cylinder bank 2 (left).

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and remove the cover - 2 -.

Cylinder Bank 1 (right):






- Remove the cover - arrow -.

Danger of defects caused by dirt.

Follow the guidelines for cleanliness when working on the fuel supply system. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Clean Working Conditions.








Risk of injury from fuel.

To reduce fuel pressure, lay cloths around connecting point before opening fuel system and carefully loosen.

- Remove the bolts - arrows -.

- Loosen the union nut - 2 - and push the fuel supply line to the side.

- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the (VAS 6122).

Ignore - 1 -.

Continued for Both Sides:






- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.

- Remove the bolts - arrows - and then remove the charge air pressure sensor (G31) or (G447).

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

For the correct tightening specifications, refer to => [ Supercharger Overview ] Supercharger Overview.

Replace the self-locking bolts and the O-ring.

Clean the threaded holes for the charge air pressure sensor inside the supercharger housing with a thread tap before assembling.

Only remove the plugs or caps after installing the lines.

- Install the fuel supply line.
