Throttle Valve Control Module (J338)

Removing






- Remove the rear engine cover. Refer to => [ Engine Covers ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the vacuum hose - 1 - from the air guide hose connection.

- Loosen the clamps - arrows - and remove the air guide pipe.

- Disconnect the connector - 1 -.






- Remove bolts - arrows - and remove throttle valve control module with the intermediate flange.

The engine could be destroyed.

Cover the intake channel with a clean cloth to prevent small particles from getting into the supercharger.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

Tightening specification, refer to => [ - Tightening Specification ] Intake Manifold Lower Section, Fuel Rail and Fuel Injector Overview.

Replace the O-rings.

The hose connections as well as the air guide pipes and hoses must be free of oil and grease before installing.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory. Refer to the Electronic Parts Catalog (ETKA).

To mount the air guide hoses on their connectors securely, spray the bolts on the used clamps with rust remover before installing.

- Install the intermediate flange - 2 - and O-rings into the supercharger - 1 - - left arrows -.






- Install the throttle valve control module - 3 - on the intermediate flange - right arrows -.

- Tighten the bolts - 4 - on the throttle valve control module => [ - Tightening Specification ] Intake Manifold Lower Section, Fuel Rail and Fuel Injector Overview.

- After replacing, perform Adaptation in Guided Functions using a vehicle diagnostic tester.
