Brake Booster/Brake Master Cylinder Assembly Overview
• Use only new brake fluid. Observe information on brake fluid reservoir!
1 Brake Booster Seal

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Booster ] Brake Booster.
• To test function, with engine switched off, depress brake pedal firmly several times (to deplete vacuum in tool).
• Depress and hold brake pedal with average foot pressure and start engine. If brake booster is working properly, pedal will be felt to give noticeably under foot (booster assistance becomes effective).
• Replace as a unit in the event of malfunction (previously, check all vacuum lines).
3 Mounting Bracket for Pedal Assembly
• Brake pedal, removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Pedal ] Brake Pedal.
4 Wiring to Master Cylinder

• To brake pedal.

7 Brake Line
• Torque specification: 14 Nm
• Master brake cylinder/secondary piston circuit to hydraulic unit.
• Identification at hydraulic unit - SK -.
8 Brake Line
• Torque specification: 14 Nm
• Master brake cylinder/primary piston circuit to hydraulic control unit.
• Identification at hydraulic unit - DK -
9 Seal
10 Nut
• Self-locking
• Tightening specification: 49 Nm
• Always replace after removal.
11 Bolt
• Tightening specification: 25 Nm
• Bolts are installed in pedal support.
12 Brake Master Cylinder
• Cannot be serviced. Replace as complete unit if malfunctioning.
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Brake Master Cylinder ] Brake Master Cylinder.
13 Seals
• Moisten with brake fluid and press into brake fluid reservoir.
14 Brake Fluid Reservoir
15 Cap
• With float warning indicator sensor.
16 Vacuum Hose
• Insert into brake booster.
17 Gasket
• Connection for vacuum hose.
