Brake Pedal

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque wrench (V.A.G 1410)

Removing

- Remove brake light switch. Refer to => [ Brake Light Switch ] Service and Repair.

- Disconnect brake pedal from brake booster. Refer to => [ Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating and Connecting ] Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating and Connecting.

- Remove nut.

- Remove pins from brake pedal.

- Remove brake pedal.

Installing

- Installation is performed in reverse sequence.

Note the following:

- Clip brake pedal with brake booster. Refer to => [ Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating and Connecting ] Brake Pedal and Brake Booster, Separating and Connecting.

- Install brake light switch. Refer to => [ Brake Light Switch ] Service and Repair.
