Outer 2nd Row Three-Point Seat Belt







Outer 2nd Row Three-Point Seat Belt

Follow all safety precautions when working on pyrotechnic components. Refer to => [ Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and General Information ] Restraint System Components, Safety Precautions and General Information.

Removing

- Turn on the ignition.

- Turn on the ignition and disconnect the ground cable from the battery.

Vehicles with Fixed Second Row

- Remove corresponding second row seat.

Seat beach (two-thirds bench), refer to => [ 2nd Row, 3-Seater Assembly Overview ] 2nd Row, 3-Seater Assembly Overview

Individual seat, refer to => [ 2nd Row, 2-Seater Assembly Overview ] 2nd Row, 2-Seater Assembly Overview

Vehicles with Longitudinally Adjustable Second Row

- Move second row seat forward on side to be removed.

Procedure for all vehicles

- Remove wheel housing liner - 2 - by removing screw - 1 - for belt webbing - 3 - from body. Refer to => [ Wheel Housing Liner Overview ] Wheel Housing Liner Overview.






- Remove the C-pillar trim. Refer to => [ C-Pillar Trim Overview ] C-Pillar Trim Overview.

Vehicles with air duct in C-pillar






- Remove screw - arrow - at belt guide.

- Remove air duct - A -.

Vehicles with pyrotechnic belt tensioners

Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, when disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

- Unlock connector lock with a small screwdriver - 2 -.






- Remove connector - 1 - from belt tensioner - 3 -.

Procedure for all vehicles

- Remove the belt relay from the seat belt height adjuster.

- Remove belt roller/belt tensioner screw.

- Remove belt roller/belt tensioner.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Engage hook - arrow A - from belt roller/belt tensioner - 1 - in body cut-out - arrow B -.






- Tighten belt roller/belt tensioner screw to the specification.

If three-point seat belt is being removed for accident repairs, replace screw.

- Install the belt relay on the seat belt height adjuster.

If belt relay is being removed for accident repairs, replace screw.

Belt relay must swing by itself in carrier direction after tightening screw.

Vehicles with Pyrotechnic Belt Tensioners

Before handling pyrotechnical components (for example, when disconnecting the connector), the person handling them must "discharge static electricity". For example, by briefly touching the door striker pin.

- Place connector - 1 - on belt tensioner - 3 -.






- Lock connector - 1 - with connector lock - 2 -.

Make sure the connectors are installed all the way in and are secure.

Make sure the wires do not get caught.

Vehicles with Air Duct in C-pillar






- Install air duct - A -.

- Tighten screw - arrow - at belt guide.

Procedure for all Vehicles

- Install the C-pillar trim. Refer to => [ C-Pillar Trim Overview ] C-Pillar Trim Overview.

- Guide seat belt - 3 - through opening - arrow A - in wheel housing trim - 2 -.






- Secure the belt anchor/seat belt with screw - 1 - to the body. Anchor depression - arrow B - must rest on the anti-twist mechanism - arrow C -.

- Install wheel housing trim - 2 -. Refer to => [ Wheel Housing Liner Overview ] Wheel Housing Liner Overview.
