Steering Column Switch Module







Steering Column Switch Module

Removal

- Adjust steering wheel downward and to rear as far as possible, use entire adjustment range of steering column adjustment for this.

- Remove the driver airbag.

- Remove the steering wheel.

- Remove the steering column trim.

- Remove bolt - 5 -.






- Disconnect the connectors - 1 - and - 2 -.

The technician must discharge static electricity before disconnecting the electrical connector - 4 -, for example by touching the door striker pin.

- Disconnect the electrical connector - 4 -.

- Press catch - 1 - in - direction of arrow - until harness connector - 2 - disengages.






- Remove the steering column switch module - 3 -.






Installation

Tightening specification, refer to => [ Steering Column Electronics Control Module (J527) and Electronic Ignition Lock Overview ] Steering Column Electronics Control Module (J527) and Electronic Ignition Lock Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

- Remove the steering column trim.

- Install the steering wheel.

- Install the driver airbag.
