EGR Temperature Sensor: Service and Repair
EGR Temperature Sensor
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Hose clip pliers (VAS 6340)
• 14 mm Socket (T10401)
Removing
- Remove the air filter housing.
- Free up the vacuum hoses - arrows - on the air guide pipe.
- Loosen the hose clamp - 2 - and remove the air guide pipe.
- Remove the bolt - 1 - and then remove warm air collector plate - arrow -.
The illustration shows the EGR temperature sensor (G98) as seen from the engine compartment looking out from the transmission side - arrow - below the brake master cylinder.
- Remove the EGR temperature sensor using the (T10401).
Installing
• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Turbocharger Assembly Overview ] Turbocharger Assembly Overview.
Installation is performed in reverse order.
