Center Tunnel Heat Shield

Removing

- Remove the driveshaft heat shield. Refer to => [ Heat Shield, Driveshaft ] Heat Shield, Driveshaft.

- Remove the rear exhaust system.

- Remove the driveshaft.

- Remove the crossmember. Refer to => [ Crossmember for Vehicle Floor ] Crossmember For Vehicle Floor.

- Loosen nuts - 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7 - from the CD trim panel.






- Remove the nuts - arrows - while bending the securing tabs upward.

- Remove the heat shield - 4 - to the rear.

• The removed exhaust system is shown in the illustration.

Installing

• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ Heat Shields, Crossbraces Overview ] Heat Shields, Crossbraces Overview.

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

- Install the driveshaft.

- Install the driveshaft heat shield. Refer to => [ Heat Shield, Driveshaft ] Heat Shield, Driveshaft.
