ATF Pipes
ATF Pipes
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
• Hose Clamps Up to 25 mm Dia. (3094)
• Oil Collecting and Extracting Device (V.A.G 1782)
Removing
- Remove the noise insulation - 1 - and - 2 -.
- Place the (V.A.G 1782) under the separating point on the ATF pipes.
• Before removal, mark the ATF pipes in relation to each other so they are not switched.
- Disconnect the ATF return pipe - 1 - and the ATF supply pipe - 2 -.
- Remove the bolts - arrows - from the ATF pipes on the engine.
• Place the (V.A.G 1782) or catch tray under the transmission to catch any leaking ATF.
- Remove the clip - A - holding the Mechatronic wiring harness from the ATF pipe - B -.
- Remove the bolt - arrow -. Then pull the ATF pipes - B - and - C - off the transmission and tie them up.
- Seal any open lines and connections with a clean plug from the engine plug set (VAS 6122).
- Remove the ATF pipes.
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
• Tightening specifications, refer to => [ ATF Cooler and ATF Pipes Overview ] Description and Operation.
• Replace O-rings.
- Check the ATF level. Refer to => [ ATF, Checking Level and Correcting ] ATF, Checking Level and Correcting.
- Install the noise insulation - 1 - and - 2 -.
