Data Link Connector (DLC)





Installed location: The DLC for the vehicle diagnosis tester is inside the footwell on the driver side.

Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Transmission Mechatronic (J743)





Installed location: The DSG transmission Mechatronic is attached to the front of the transmission housing and is covered by the transmission fluid pan.

The control module is permanently integrated on the DSG transmission Mechatronic.

• Checked by On Board Diagnostics (OBD).

Shift Lock Solenoid (N110) , Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module (J587) with Selector Lever (E313) , Tiptronic Switch (F189) and Selector Lever Park Position Lock Switch (F319)





Installed location: the components are integrated permanently in the circuit board for the shift mechanism function unit and cannot be replaced individually.

• Checked by OBD.

If one component is faulty, then the shift mechanism function unit must be replaced. Refer to => [ Selector Mechanism ] Selector Mechanism or => [ Selector Mechanism ] Selector Mechanism.

Transmission Input Speed Sensor (G182) / Clutch Oil Temperature Sensor (G509)





Installed location: The transmission input speed sensor and clutch oil temperature sensor - A - is attached to the transmission housing under the DSG transmission Mechatronic.

• Checked by OBD.

Transmission Range Display (Y6)





Installed location: Integrated inside the instrument cluster.

• The selector lever position display can only be replaced together with the instrument cluster.

Selector Lever Scale Illumination Bulb (L101)





Installed location: Inside the selector lever boot trim - 1 -.

• Checked by OBD.

Brake Lamp Switch (F)





Installed location: The brake lamp switch - 2 - is located on the master brake cylinder.

• Checked by OBD.

Kick Down Switch (F8)





A programmed value from the accelerator pedal position sensor (G79) and accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (G185) (integrated inside the accelerator pedal module) is saved in the Engine Control Module (ECM) as a kick-down signal.

• Checked by OBD.

• Signal transmitted from the ECM to Transmission Control Module (TCM) via CAN bus.
