Oil Pan and Oil Pump Overview
• If large quantities of metal particles or other deposits such as those caused by partial seizure of the crankshaft or connecting rod damage are found in the engine oil, clean the oil channels thoroughly and replace the engine oil cooler to prevent further damage.

Danger of catalytic converter damage.
• Oil level must not exceed "max" marking.

- Tighten bolts in 3 stages in - 1 to 20 - sequence as follows:
Upper Oil Pan - Tightening Sequence
- Tighten bolts in 3 stages in - 1 to 14 - sequence as follows:
• There may be 13 bolts installed, depending on the version.
Oil Separator Tightening Sequence
- Tighten the bolts to 9 Nm in the following sequence: - 1 to 9 -.
