Sealing Flange and Flywheel/Drive Plate
• Servicing clutch:
• Observe clutch removal instructions.
1 - 15 Nm
2 - Seal
• Replacing, refer to => [ Crankshaft Seal, Ribbed Belt Side ] Service and Repair.
• Do not oil
3 - Sealing flange, front
• Must be located on dowel sleeves
• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Front Sealing Flange ] Front Sealing Flange
4 - Cylinder block
• Removing and installing crankshaft, refer to => [ Crankshaft ] Crankshaft
• Piston and connecting rod, disassembling and assembling, refer to => [ Piston and Connecting Rod ] Overhaul
5 - Dual mass flywheel/drive plate bolt
• Replace
• Dual mass flywheel tightening specifications, refer to => [ Torque specification ] Dual-Mass Flywheel
• Drive plate tightening specifications, refer to => [ Tightening Specification ] Drive Plate
6 - Dual-mass flywheel/drive plate
• Dual-mass flywheel, removing and installing, refer to => [ Dual-Mass Flywheel ] Dual-Mass Flywheel
• Drive plate, removing and installing, refer to => [ Drive Plate ] Drive Plate
• Only possible to install in one position - Bores are offset
7 - Intermediate plate
• Must be located on dowel sleeves
• Do not damage or bend when doing assembly work
• Is hooked in at sealing flange => [ Installing intermediate plate ]
8 - 15 Nm
9 - Sealing flange with rear oil seal
• Only replaced as complete unit
• To install, use provided guide sleeve
• Do not oil or grease sealing lip of oil seal
• Before installing, remove oil remains from crankshaft journal with a clean cloth
• Guide sleeve may only be removed after sealing flange has been slid onto crankshaft pin.
Installing intermediate plate
