Connector Station E-Box Plenum Chamber
Removing
• All cable ties opened or cut during engine removal must be reinstalled at the same locations during installation.
- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (GND) wire. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] .
- Remove driver's storage compartment.
- Remove the electrical wire at under side of connector station E-Box plenum chamber.
- Remove plenum chamber cover rubber seal in - direction of arrow -.
- Remove plenum chamber cover - 1 - forward.
- Remove the wiper arms - 2 -- 3 and 4 -. Refer to => [ Windshield Wiper Arms ] Windshield Wiper Arms.
CAUTION!
To prevent the cowl grille - 5 - from cracking when removing, coat the transition between the windshield and cowl grille with some soapy water and carefully pull the cowl panel trim vertically out of the retainer on the windshield beginning at the edge of the window.
- Remove securing clips - 1 - and remove cowl panel grille - 5 -.
- Remove plenum chamber E-box cover - arrows -.
- Pry securing bracket off - arrows - with the help of a screwdriver.
- Set aside Engine Control Module (ECM) with wires still connected.
- Disengage transmission control module retaining bracket.
- Set aside Transmission Control Module (TCM) with wires still connected.
- If present, cut through cable ties.
- Remove the rear connector on the connector strip.
- Remove electrical wiring harness - 2 -.
- Remove bolts - 1 - and - 3 -.
- Unclip the corresponding connector base.
• Check the exact assignment for connector station E-Box plenum chamber in the current wiring diagram. Refer to Wring diagrams, Troubleshooting & Component locations.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:
• All cable ties opened or cut during engine removal must be reinstalled at the same locations during installation.
- Install driver's storage compartment.
- Connect battery. Required actions => .
