Thermostat Housing with Map Controlled Engine Cooling Thermostat

Removing

- Drain coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] Procedures.

- Remove lower coolant pipe. Refer to => [ Lower Coolant Pipe ] Lower Coolant Pipe.

- Separate the electrical connector - 5 -.





- Remove coolant hoses - 1 - and - 4 -.

- Remove bolts - 2 - and - 3 - and remove coolant thermostat housing.

- Remove bolts - 1 -.





- Remove thermostat - 2 - and O-ring - 3 - from the thermostat housing - 4 -.

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, note the following:

• Replace O-rings.

• Secure all hose connections using hose clamps appropriate for the model type.

- Install lower coolant pipe. Refer to => [ Lower Coolant Pipe ] Lower Coolant Pipe.

- Fill with coolant => [ Filling ] Procedures.
