1. Disconnect XM receiver connector A (14P).

2. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

3. Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 1 and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?
YES - Go to step 4.

NO - Repair open in the wire between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 1 and audio-navigation unit connector C (14P) terminal No. 1.

4. Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 2 and body ground.

Is there battery voltage?
YES - Go to step 5.

NO - Repair open in the wire between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 2 and audio-navigation unit connector C (14P) terminal No. 2.

5. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

6. Reconnect XM receiver connector A (14P).

7. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

8. Measure the voltage between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 11 and body ground.

Is there less than 0.1 V?
YES - Go to step 9.

NO - Repair open in the wire between XM receiver connector A (14P) terminal No. 11 and audio-navigation unit connector C (14P) terminal No. 11.

9. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

10. Disconnect these items:
- Audio-navigation unit connector C (14P)

- XM receiver connector A (14P)

- Navigation display unit 32P connector

11. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode.

12. Measure the voltage between audio-navigation unit connector C (14P) terminals No. 9 and No. 10 to body ground individually.

Is there less than 0.2 V?
YES - Go to step 13.

NO - Substitute a known-good audio-navigation unit (including the HDD), Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation) and recheck. If 0.2 V or less are present, replace the original audio-navigation unit.

13. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode.

14. Check for continuity between the following terminals of the audio-navigation unit connector C (14P) and XM receiver connector A (14P).

Is there continuity?
YES - Go to step 15.

NO - There is an open in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the XM receiver. Replace the affected shielded harness.

15. Check for continuity between XM receiver connector A (14P) and body ground as shown.

Is there continuity?
YES - There is a short to body ground in the wire(s) between the audio-navigation unit and the XM receiver. Replace the affected shielded harness.

NO - Go to step 16.

16. Check for continuity between the terminals of XM receiver connector A (14P) according to the table.

Is there continuity between any of the terminals?
YES - There is a short in the wires between the audio-navigation unit and the XM receiver. Replace the affected shielded harness.

NO - Substitute a known-good audio-navigation unit (including the HDD), Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation) and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio-navigation unit. If the symptom is still present, substitute a known-good XM receiver, XM Receiver Removal/Installation (Without Acura Link) and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original XM receiver.
