Audio-Navigation Unit Removal/Installation

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
- Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
- Eject the disc before removing the audio-navigation unit to prevent damaging the CD/DVD player's load mechanism.
- If you are replacing the audio-navigation unit, write down the audio presets (if possible), then enter them into the new audio-navigation unit.
- If the HDD is OK, transfer it to the new audio-navigation unit.
- If the audio-navigation unit is replaced or disconnected, a Map Matching must be done. How to Troubleshoot the Navigation System (With Navigation)
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the navigation system.
2. Remove the center trim. Dashboard Center Trim Removal/Installation
3. Remove the dashboard center vent. Dashboard Center Vent Removal/Installation
4. Carefully remove the bolts, then pull the audio-navigation switch panel (A) out.
5. Disconnect the connectors, and detach the clips (B).
6. Remove the climate control switches. Service and Repair
7. Remove the bolts (A) and stays (B).
8. Remove the screws (C) and audio-navigation unit (D).
9. Install the audio-navigation unit in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: Check any official Honda service web site for more service information about patches for the navigation system. Apply any prescribed patches to the new audio-navigation unit.
10. Enter the new navigation anti-theft code.

12. Give the new navigation anti-theft code to the client.
